Les précédents, an architectural and choreographic project (2008)

Show description:

Born from collaboration between the Théâtre de Verdure of Montreal and the choreographer Marie Béland, this architectural and choreographic project Les Précédents was at first created for the Parc La Fontaine. The performance integrates dancers into the landscape of the public area and into the actions of the pedestrians. Inspired by the mobile and immobile, in permanence and the ephemeral, the interpreters help us to see the space of this bustling public park with new perspective. The performance can be accompanied by open workshops during which the public could share in the experience of Les Précédents in interpreting the piece alongside the dancers.

Interpreters (alternating casts): Isabelle Arcand, Amélie Bédard-Gagnon, Geneviève Gagné, Simon-Xavier Lefebvre, Louliko Shibao, Marilyne St-Sauveur, Anne Thériault, Andrew Turner and Hugo Gravel.
